About

Hello!  My name is Sara Mueller and I am a Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences graduate student at the Pennsylvania State University. I completed my undergraduate degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences with a minor in International Agriculture at Penn State as well as a Masters of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. My true passion is environmental education, but I have fallen in love with research, which currently makes academia a suitable career path for me.

I grew up in State College, PA and spent a great amount of time learning the broad-leaf habitat that always surrounds me. However, in 2013, I was able to spend a semester abroad at Lincoln University in Lincoln, New Zealand. Although New Zealand and Pennsylvania have reminiscent geography and weather, the ecosystem is completely different.  I hope that one day my research finds a way to take me back.

When I am not focused on school/research, I am enjoying time with my rescue dog, Shiloh. We enjoy hiking and making GoPro videos as she races through the woods.  Recently, Shiloh has acquired sea legs (well, more like lake legs) and enjoys kayaking on hot days.
